COVID-19
At Columbia Basin Denture Care, your health and the health of our staff are of the utmost importance. To ensure your health and the health of our staff, we do follow usual universal precautions in our operatories and office. Additionally, every half hour to an hour we wipe down the waiting room and common spaces with disinfectant.
Listed below are only some of the changes we have made to protect your health and our staff.
- Upon arrival for your appointment, please call our office to announce your arrival. When the operatory is ready one of our staff will come to your care and take your temperature. It must be below 100.4F
- A COVID-19 waiver must be completed for each daily appointment. We are also working on having this waiver sent through text message or email.
- To keep proper distancing we will need to reschedule those patients that arrive more than 10 minutes late.
- Texting or emailing link to complete needed new, updated or missing paperwork.
- Limit appointments to the patient and one other individual only if needed. i.e. caregiver.
- Waiting room chairs have been blocked off to allow 6 foot distancing. Currently only 2 are available.
- Pens used for signing documents are cleaned after each use.
- We encourage all patients to wear face coverings.
- We require all staff to wear a face covering.
- Plexiglass barriers placed in front of the front office staff.
- Surgically Clean Air purifier moved to front office area. (2 more have been ordered)
- Walk-in adjustments are no longer allowed. All appointments must be scheduled to keep safe distancing requirements. Don’t worry, we can still get you in for an adjustments within 24 business hours of your call.
- Magazine and other reading material has been removed from the waiting room.
- All staff has their temperature recorded upon entering the building.
- Added hand sanitizer stations throughout the office.
For the protection of all our patients and staff due the recent outbreak of coronavirus, we are requesting the following:
- If you have an illness or are exhibiting symptoms, we recommend you cancel and reschedule your dental appointment. Some illness and symptoms include:
- a cold or the flu
- fever or nausea
- severe headaches or body aches
- muscle or stomach pain, chest pain or difficulty breathing
- vomiting or diarrhea
- active tuberculosis (TB)
- mumps, measles, chickenpox
- other contagious disease
- Please notify our staff before your appointment if you or someone you are in close contact with have recently traveled to one of the countries with large outbreaks of COVID-19 (ex. China, Italy, Iran, South Korea) or if you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution.
If you are healthy, there’s no need to cancel your regularly scheduled dental appointment.
